Is 8 2 l8?

I support good grammar.

Yeah.

That's so easy to type isn't it?

Let's face it. It's so obvious that text messaging has affected our writing skills.

If only there weren't character limits to text messages, I would've sent everyone novels. But that would be irrational.

Now, I have nothing against texters who "budget" their characters sent because I am one myself. What bothers me are the people who carry this idea all through out essay writing, note passing, speech making and blogging. I mean, wake up dude. There's no more limitations and it costs less to complete your words and say what you actually mean.

Here's a sample text message:

LOL.w8 ln me s tbi n. Pnta aq jn mya. D q lm kung my sndu me.

Ok. Here's the thing, I really dont get it. I can read it but....what does this person actually mean. I went: "Huh? Wha?!" And the person was like:

ups. x-snd.

I stared at the reply for a while. OH! "Oops. Wrong send." Ugh. Its not worth the piso. What? Was a dog chasing him or something? Why did he have to short cut every darn thing?

What I like doing is double-spelling stuff. It makes it look cute. But I don't do that when it comes to blogging.

Let's stay hooked on grammar. I detest people who can't construct good sentences in english. Gimme a break and type out your darn words, coz 8s nt 2 l8!

Let's applaud greenrops for the lovely SMS picture
